How do I apply for jobs on CharityVillage?

To apply for jobs on CharityVillage, you need to have a CharityVillage account. If you don't have one, don't worry. Just click the Sign Up button located at the top right of our home page and it will only take about a minute or less to create one. You can also click here for a step-by-step guide on how to create a CharityVillage account.

Once you have created your CharityVillage account, click Jobs at the top of the homepage. 

You can do a Quick SearchAdvanced Search or Browse. Once you have selected
the appropriate criteria for yourself, click Search.

Once you have found a position you would like to apply for, please select the orange "Apply Now" button at the end of the job description. If it doesn't have an orange "Apply Now" button, the job description will tell you how to apply.

Depending on the job posting, you may be required to answer a few questions set by the hiring organization or you will be brought straight to the Required Information page. If you haven't already filled this out in your Candidate Profile (located in your MyDesk), please do. You will need to fill out your contact information, employment history, education, and impact statement. 

It's important to note that this page is also where you can submit a cover letter, reference letter, work sample, or any other document under the Cover Letter & Other Documents section. These documents you submit are viewable only by the organization you are applying to. The only document all organizations you apply to will see is your resume on your Candidate Profile. This is meant to represent your skills and experience as a whole.

Remember, your contact information, employment and education history, impact statement, resume and social media link(s) will be viewable by all organizations you've applied to. At any time, this information can be updated by going to your Candidate Profile located in your MyDesk. However, all organizations you apply (both past and present) will see the most up-to-date information on your profile

Once you have finished filling this page out, click Next to submit your application. 

The next page will tell you your application has been submitted successfully and to rate the experience. We recommend that you rate the application experience and provide any feedback you may have. This part is completely confidential and the hiring organization will never see this. The feedback is for us so we can make sure the process of applying for jobs through our website is enjoyable.
