How do I increase my chances of getting shortlisted?

You can make sure you have the best chance of getting shortlisted by following these two simple guidelines:

1. Spend time on the "Impact Statement". Hiring managers love the opportunity to understand who you are and what you stand for. Think of it as a concentrated cover letter and try to make it personal and unique. Whatever you do, don't write "please see resume." And remember, your Impact statement is common to all applications. If you change your Impact Statement, any hiring managers of jobs you’ve previously applied to via CharityVillage will be able to view your update.

2. Fill in the Education and Employment sections. It is important to fill in this section even though you may have included it on your resume. The information from these sections will be used in the candidate summary that is provided to the organization you applied to.
