1. Spend time on the "Impact Statement". Hiring managers love the opportunity to understand who you are and what you stand for. Think of it as a concentrated cover letter and try to make it personal and unique. Whatever you do, don't write "please see resume." And remember, your Impact statement is common to all applications.
